    A beach the first night

  2. Day 2

    Pidurangala at last light

    Arrive, rest, then climb Pidurangala for the view of Sigiriya catching fire. Quieter and kinder than the fortress at noon.

    Optional rock, then Kandy

    Lion Rock is optional — some couples skip the stairs and keep the memory of last night. Kandy lake in the evening.

    Temple, then a tea bungalow

    The hill train

    Sunrise, then the sea

    The two of you on the ridge before the island wakes. Then a south-coast villa with a pool.

    Galle at opening hour
