    Airport to Sigiriya

    Pickup and the north road. Sleep near the rock. Tomorrow starts early.

  2. Day 2

    Sigiriya and Dambulla, then Kandy

    Sigiriya ~2.5–3 hrs from 6:30am · Dambulla ~1 hr

    The famous climb while it is still cool. Cave temples on the way to Kandy.

  3. Day 3

    Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

    Temple of the Tooth, optional Peradeniya, then the tea climb.

    Tea, then Ella

    A working estate in the morning. Road or rail into Ella. Nine Arch at the evening train if you want it.

    The famous park. Leopard if the day is kind; elephants and sloth bear are the more honest promise.

    Galle and the south

    Ramparts, lighthouse, a beach sleep. This is the classic finish.
